WOMEN WHO DARED ... to become Presidents & Prime Ministers

"A leader is nothing more than

an expression of the spirit of his or her time ... " Anon

One of the most universal cravings of recent times is a hunger for compelling and creative leadership. Too little is known about what it takes to be a leader, least of all, women Presidents and Prime Ministers. Therefore, these blogs are part of the historical book series titled: "WOMEN WHO DARED ..." to become President and Prime Ministers.

For the first time in history, the reading public will be introduced and presented with facts, not fiction on how women from around the world, achieved the ultimate success and became Presidents and Prime Ministers in their respective countries. What does it mean for a woman to focus on political career yesterday and today ? More important, what does it take be elected as a woman President and/or Prime Minister ?

For over twenty years, we have traveled extensively and scripted visual dramatic stories on how women become Heads of State (Presidents) and Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers). Our R & D reads how each woman recalled her personal saga and how she inherited those leadership qualities from childhood to maturity. We discussed those motivating forces which developed each personality, guiding and leading her towards being "elected the highest designated leader in her country?"

Each woman profiles as a unique example of pioneering leadership role model ! Each leader is seen against the background of her time and ours. Her life-story will fall across events we all remember, coloring them in a way which will give them new meaning because we will understand them better.

All the women come from very diversified cultures and strikingly different social, economic and religious backgrounds. Each belongs to her particular combination of historical time, place and circumstances. Several of them are not at all familiar and their historical life-stories, career paths and cultural surroundings, will be given an American context without surrendering those unique qualities of their national environment.

These pages will daily show how each women made a difference across the global political landscape, but also how they differed in character and judgement. The most important essence of their lives was "discovering" and "identifying" with their social and economical personalities and those unique characteristics that developed from childhood to maturity.

All the pioneering women were "one and the first of their kind" ... and these pages will not judge whether they were good or bad leaders. It will basically follow those historically written and visual records, where they expressed their personal goals, their visions as leaders, the causes that they upheld as supreme. How they made the efforts that shape all the events that guided them towards political success.

The following blogs will be in-depth explorations, involving a deeper look into the traditional worldwide cultures, social, religious and economic life-styles - those unique global personality traits - which will be compared and contrasted to determine and answer the final question: Why America was not able to elect a woman President in 2008 ? This will be open to discussion.
